BBB Investigates Auto Warranty Scheme

The Better Business Bureau of Central Illinois is conducting an investigation in to the business practices of a Bloomington, Illinois, business. Dealers Services, also known as TWD Inc, The Warranty Division, Warrantech Automotive, The Warranty Department, Inc., Warranty Department, and American Warranty have offered automotive warranties to consumers. These warranties have been sold to consumer’s nation wide generally through telephone solicitation. Based upon consumer complaints, Dealer Services has failed to honor terms of the contracts or warranties sold to consumers. The Better Business Bureau has processed in excess of eighty complaints against Dealers Services in the past thirty-six months. These complaints largely center around cancellation of the policy and the refusal by the company to reimburse consumers for the cost of the policy as outlined in the companies policy termination agreement. Complaints vary from $100 to over $2,500 dollars. Dealers Services operated out of 2407
